Position Responsibilities :
Reporting to brokerage branch management for a well-established provider of Full Truckload (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Heavy Haul), LTL, and Rail freight brokerage business. TTS Logistics is a privately held freight brokerage firm that conducts business throughout North America.

The Carrier Broker will manage the carrier/capacity marketplace and develop strategies for sourcing the carrier network to execute to the individual shipment requirements for each of our customers. Will be responsible for providing customers with the most cost effective mode of transportation, while supplying the highest level of performance in on-time pickups and deliveries. Will have the ability to establish strategic relationships with carriers. Must have rate negotiation skills, the ability to network within the carrier marketplace, and assist the Sales Broker in maximizing margins. Assist in helping grow our customer business through sound practices and responsibilities.

Background Required: 
Freight Brokerage Operations (2+ Years)
Knowledge of multi-modal transportation
Strong rate negotiation skills
Manage carrier qualifications
Create a carrier following
Participate in the bid process
Must be a team player
Computer literate

Responsibilities:

As a Carrier Sales Representative you will work closely with our extensive network of carriers, as well as develop new relationships focusing on improving efficiency and managing transportation costs. You will be responsible for taking a proactive approach in mastering the pricing and capacity fluctuations in the truckload shipping market.

Qualifications:

1-3 year(s) work or internship experience

Driven and competitive nature

Strong problem solving and decision making abilities

Quick learner who is successful at multi-tasking

Impressive negotiation skills

Team player who can also produce independent results

Must have a carrier base. That is a must.
